about me
22. Living in Seattle. Finally. Costume designer who loves tattoo, piercings, working out and comic books. I have a fear of escalators. Other than that I try to do things that scare me. I really want my obituary/code 911 to be entertaining. If you click the word me above you can see pictures of said: me. This way if you're hot and message me and I send you a link to my facebook, I don't feel like a 13 year old girl waiting by the phone to see if you're gonna add me. Below this are my likes, they're mostly the porn I don't reblog for the sake of my close friends that have to see my everyday. Deal with it.

Joss Whedon To Co-Write ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’ TV Pilot For ABC & Marvel

It looks like Marvel Studios are looking to expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the realms of television as Deadline just broke the news that ABC have green lit a TV pilot for a S.H.I.E.L.D.series to be written by Joss Whedon, who you might remember is the man largely responsible for Marvel’s The Avengers, as well as his brother Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen. Joss is also looking to direct as long as his schedule allows for it.

When i was a kid, in the late 70’s, i discovered my Dad’s comic stash. A giant (to me) box chock full of funny books. Dumped in with out any care.

I used to stand on a bucket and bend over double across the top edge, stretching my arms and hands down to grasp at pages and covers, pulling books out by skin of their teeth. Rarely did i find a super-hero in that box. My Dad liked DC’s war and horror comics. Joe Kubert drew a lot of those comics.

I learned how to read with those comics, with Joe Kubert. Joe Kubert’s lines were the first i recognized in more than one book. Joe Kubert’s name was the first artist’s name i knew.

30+ years later, i can say that my Dad and Joe Kubert are directly responsible for my love of comics. Directly responsible for over a decade of working in a comic shop. Directly responsible for a second bedroom that has more long boxes than floor. Directly responsible for every artistic aspiration i’ve ever had.

I love my Dad. I love comics. I love Joe Kubert.

Uncanny X-Men #141 // artwork by John Byrne and Nacho Molina (2009)

The original cover for the first part of the “Days Of The Future Past” storyline, next to a very well made new take.

These comics? Some of my all-time favorites. I reread Thanos Quest and Infinity Gauntlet pretty often. I could probably talk for a good hour or more about Infinity Gauntlet and Thanos Quest and Infinity War and Infinity Crusade and Warlock and the Infinity Watch and…I’m gonna stop now.

via marvelentertainment:

This September, get a heaping helping of Thanos on the Marvel Comics app and at your local comic shop with Thanos Quest #1, Thanos: The Final Threat #1 and Avengers Assemble #7!

The cover to Thanos Quest #1 (topmost image) is actually concept art by Andy Park for Marvel’s The Avengers film!

We know you’re curious about Thanos after seeing him in Marvel’s The Avengers or in Avengers Assemble. So if you’re going to pick up these books, as well as the classic Infinity Gauntlet and Silver Surfer: Rebirth of Thanos collections, here’s a handy reading order:

Thanos: The Final Threat —-> Silver Surfer: Rebirth of Thanos —-> Thanos Quest —-> Infinity Gauntlet

There’s plenty more, but those are great starting points!
